PCL Ceramics awarded Queen's Award for Enterprise
A Norfolk ceramics company has been awarded the coveted Queen’s Award for Enterprise for International Trade after increasing overseas earnings by 180 per cent in three years.
PCL Ceramics, part of the KL Technologies group, is the market leader in supplying casting systems for the global ceramics industry, and sells machinery and moulds to 30 countries worldwide.
The award is good news for King’s Lynn-based PCL’s 32 staff, with continued expansion leading to the creation of a further four posts.
Managing director Mark Butler said the award would help boost the company’s image, particularly in crucial overseas markets.
“This award is recognition that the business is doing extremely well, maturing, growing and developing,” he added.
“We started as quite a small company in 2003, and as you grow then customers look at things like reputation and credibility. The Queen’s Award is a highly recognisable stamp of quality and will help to crystallise our brand to new and existing customers worldwide. I would like to thank all of our staff for their hard work and dedication that went into winning this most prestigious award.”
